ADING on new trends in cement industry and concrete production industry, at "Expert consulting organized by DIMK, IMS Institute and Faculty of Civil Engineering Belgrade" held in the Republic of Serbia

On 21.04.2023, in the ceremonial hall of the Faculty of Civil Engineering in Belgrade, an expert consulting was held on topic: "NEW APPROACH TO ASSESSMENT AND VERIFICATION OF CONSTANCY OF PERFORMANCE", organized by DIMK (Company for Testing Building Materials and Constructions), IMS (Institute for Materials Testing) and Faculty of Civil Engineering Belgrade.

The event was attended by 120 guests, among whom there were engineers from all the institutes for testing building materials in Serbia, from cement manufacturers, contractors of large infrastructure facilities and other companies related to concrete production. The purpose of the consulting was to introduce the professional public with the most significant aspects of applying the new REGULATION FOR TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS OF CONCRETE, compliant with European norms. The lecturers were expert engineers from the CIS Institute and IMS Institute in  Belgrade, professors from the Faculty of Civil Engineering in Belgrade, Novi Sad and Nis, as well as guests from the University of Zagreb and the IRMA Institute, Ljubljana.

 

During the consulting, Nikola Uzunov, BEng. (Sector of Technical Application and Placement in Ading) had a presentation on "NEW TRENDS IN THE CEMENT INDUSTRY AND THE CONCRETE PRODUCTION INDUSTRY", in which he presented: 

- Possibilities of using new cement production admixture (Intenzifikator) in order to reduce the energy consumption and CO2 emissions during the cement production process.

- Possibilities of using new generations of Superplasticizers for production of high-performance concrete (strength characteristics, high flowability of fresh-made concrete and durability of concrete structures in conditions of aggressive environmental influences), when applying cements with a high percentage of admixtures (SEM II to SEM V). 

As part of the presentation, experiences from the field with presentation of three different reference objects were shared and it was shown how by applying "smart" concrete technology, cements with a high percentage of admixtures (SEM III) and appropriate admixtures for concrete, a sewage treatment plant, a concrete dam and a tunnel were constructed.
