The “18^th Symposium of the Macedonian Association of Structural Engineers (DGKM 2019)” took place from the 2 to the 5 of October 2019 in Ohrid, Macedonia. The Symposium focused on topics in the area of structural engineering with special emphasis on the current practice and latest developments in the field of monitoring and testing structures, structural modelling, methods of condition testing, as well as application of contemporary materials for repair of structures.

At the event, the President of the Macedonian Association of Structural Engineers – Prof. Meri Cvetkovska, PhD – awarded the recognition of “Honorary Member” to the director Aleksandar Belev, BSc in Civil Engineering (ADING). Further on, a presentation was delivered within the “Strep” Project on the topic “REINFORCING MASONRY STRUCTURES WITH STRUCTURAL REPOINTING” designed by our engineers Bojan Damchevski and Dime Janchev, and in collaboration with employees of the Institute of Earthquake Engineering and Engineering Seismology and professors from the Faculty of Civil Engineering in Skopje.

There was also another presentation of a paper on the topic “BOND BETWEEN CONCRETE SURFACES WITH DIFFERENT CHARACTERISTICS” delivered by our representative Nikola Uzunov, Eng., and in collaboration with Prof. Goran Markovski, PhD from the Faculty of Civil Engineering in Skopje.
